- How do I inform my members about the NVA vision benefit?
-
You can choose from an array of member communications created to help members easily understand their vision benefit and remind them about it too. We’ve created an online communication kit available here where you can download the pieces you need. You can also call your NVA Account Manager for more information about these tools.
- How do members find out if their eye care professional is in the NVA network?
-
Members can easily discover if their eye doctor is in the NVA network by contacting us at 800-672-7723 or by signing into the NVA website (e-nva.com) or app.
- What if the member’s eye care professional is not in the NVA network?
-
NVA's national network of vision care providers includes nearly 100,000 access points of care in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. It’s comprised of independent practitioners as well as optical retailers.
If the member cannot find their eye doctor in our network, they can nominate the vision care provider to join the network by either contacting NVA at 800-672-7723 or by signing into our website and clicking on ‘nominate a provider.’ NVA will reach out to the nominated provider requesting they join our network.
If the member decides to use a vision care provider that is not part of the NVA network, and the plan offers a reimbursement, members can simply print the Out of Network Claim Reimbursement Form , complete it, attach their receipts and mail it to NVA for processing. They can also submit it electronically through the member portal, if the plan permits it.
- What if members have questions about what is covered under the benefit or when they can use it?
-
Members can easily access benefit information by signing into the NVA app or website. The NVA app is available for download at the App Store for iPhone and Google Play for Android users. They can also reference their benefit summary. A PDF version of the benefit summary is available behind member log in on the app or the website, if the plan permits it.
- Do members receive an ID card? How do they order replacement or extra cards?
-
An ID card in not required for members to receive vision care services. They can tell their in-network eye care professional NVA administers their vision program.
However, if your plan provides ID cards, members will automatically receive two ID cards with the subscriber’s name listed. If they need replacement or extra cards, they may sign into the website and print them from the NVA website. They can also sign into the app and flash their ID card at time of appointment.
If your plan does not use this option, the member can call our 24/7/365 member services call center at 800-672-7723 or e-mail us at service@e-nva.com to order ID cards.
- How can we link our website or intranet to the NVA website?
-
Make it simple for members to access the NVA website by adding the following code to your website or intranet
<a href=”https://www.e-nva.com”>NVA</a>
. - What are my sign in credentials for the client portal on the NVA website?
-
After your NVA Account Manager receives your signed Client Web User Account Agreement, you will receive an auto-generated account set-up e-mail.
In a separate e-mail, your NVA Account Manager will forward you a username and temporary password to sign in to the portal.
After initial sign in, a prompt will ask you to change your temporary password.
If at any time you would like to change your username or password, please click on the ‘My Profile’ link at the top right hand corner of the page and make your changes. Be sure to click on the submit button at the bottom of the page to save the changes.

- What is the NVA Smart Buyer®?
-
It’s the members’ go-to guide for eyewear. The NVA Smart Buyer® helps answer common eyewear questions, such as: Do I need to pay extra for eyeglass scratch coating? Which frame would look best on me? What’s the difference between polycarbonate vs. high index lenses? Our NVA Smart Buyer® Provider Search Tool helps members save out-of-pocket on frame costs. Here they will see a list of local vision care providers broken out by the amount of frames available at their location at no cost to the member. Members must sign into the NVA app or website to view the NVA Smart Buyer® features.
